Elvis Costello & The Imposters will launch a 20-date tour this summer. This tour will celebrate the 35th anniversary of the English band’s 1982 album Imperial Bedroom, and will kick off on June 3rd with a show at the Greek Theatre at UC Berkeley. The tour will then head south to San Diego on the 5th for a show at Copley Symphony Hall. On June 15th the band will play in New York City at the outdoors Central Park SummerStage. If fans in the NYC area miss that show, Elvis Costello & Co. will make a stop at the Ommegang Brewery in Cooperstown in upstate New York, a 4 hour drive from the Big Apple, just a month later. The tour will wrap on July 25th in Providence, Rhode Island at the Providence Performing Arts Center.
Elvis Costello tickets have hit the secondary market and will be essential in getting tickets for dates that are expected to sell out quickly. On TicketIQ, the cheapest ticket available for Costello’s June 12th show in Chicago is going for $78. Unsurprisingly, the June 4th show in Los Angeles is on track to be the priciest show on the secondary market, with tickets starting at $187.
The tour will focus heavily on the 1982 album Imperial Bedroom, although each performance will feature an array of other classics, including the 2010 release, National Ransom.
Tickets can be purchased for this tour on Elvis Costello’s website under the heading, “Dance Card,” and general tickets went on sale starting March 3rd.
