As of Friday afternoon, the average resale price for Stadium Series Penguins vs. Flyers tickets is $186. That marks an 8 percent drop from Thursday’s average of $202. The cheapest tickets are now currently listed from $72 each, up slightly from Thursday’s $67 get-in price.

Prices Increasing for Stadium Series Tickets, Still Third Cheapest Since 2014
(UPDATE 2/23/17) Now may be the time to purchase Stadium Series tickets for Saturday’s game at Heinz Field.
The Battle of Pennsylvania will write its next chapter in the Steel City this weekend, and ticket prices are beginning to tick up in the days before puck drop. On TicketIQ, Penguins vs. Flyers tickets currently average $202, up 13 percent from Tuesday’s $178 average. It is now slightly more expensive than a 2014 game between the Kings and Ducks at Dodger Stadium ($199 average).
Despite the boost in average resale price, however, Saturday’s game is posting the cheapest resale average two days out of any Stadium Series game since 2014. A 2015 game between the Sharks and Kings previously owned that honor with a $203 average.
The cheapest tickets to Saturday’s contest at Heinz Field – the stadium’s second outdoor game and first since 2011 – are now fetching for $67 each in the 500 sections. That is the second cheapest get-in price two days out since 2014, trumped only by a 2014 game between the Rangers and Islanders at Yankee Stadium ($45 get-in price).
Penguins & Flyers Meet in Second Cheapest Stadium Series Game Since 2014

With the Penguins and Flyers set to battle in the NHL’s sole Stadium Series game this season, tickets won’t cost an arm and a leg on the resale market. On TicketIQ, Penguins vs. Flyers Stadium Series tickets currently average $178, making it the second cheapest NHL Stadium Series game ever. Only a 2016 game between the Wild and Blackhawks owned a lower resale average at $160.
It will be slightly more expensive just to get past the gates than several other Stadium Series games, however. The cheapest tickets to Saturday’s contest are now listed from $91 each in Section 507. Three games in the last three years have posted cheaper asking prices. No games was cheaper to get into than 2015’s game at Levi’s Stadium between the Sharks and Kings, where the get-in price was just $22. The most expensive tickets for this year’s game currently fetch for $706 each in Section 211.
2017 marks the Penguins’ second appearance in the Stadium Series. They played the Blackhawks at Soldier Field in 2014, where they fell by a final score of 5-1 in front of nearly 63,000 fans. It will be the Flyers’ first appearance in the game and third outdoor game following 2010 and 2012’s Winter Classic meetings with the Bruins and Rangers, respectively.
The reigning Stanley Cup champions own the second-best record in the Eastern Conference with a 36-14-8 record as of Tuesday, trailing only the Capitals’ 39-12-7 showing for best in the conference. The Flyers are in the mix of the playoff hunt as well, posting a 28-24-7 record and just three points removed from the second wild-card slot.
