Throughout the second half of the season, the New York Rangers have been climbing up the Eastern Conference standings. The same can be said about their next home opponent on Sunday in the West, the Anaheim Ducks. New York has the second most points in the East with 95, behind only the Montreal Canadiens at 97. Anaheim leads the Western Conference with 97 points, a point above the St. Louis Blues overall and seven points above the Vancouver Canucks in the Pacific division.
Anaheim will travel to Madison Square Garden on Sunday for what could potentially be a Stanley Cup Final preview. However, prices for New York Rangers tickets against the Ducks won’t be among the top priced games remaining on the Rangers schedule. The Rangers have six remaining home games and Sunday’s matchup with the Ducks is just the fourth most expensive. Of course, cheap tickets at Madison Square Garden are still among the most expensive in the NHL. Rangers vs Ducks tickets have an average price of $300.19 with a get-in price of $80.
Only two remaining Rangers games have an average price below $200, the final two regular season games — April 6 against the Columbus Blue Jackets and April 9 against the Ottawa Senators.
The most expensive game for the Rangers will come on March 29 against the Washington Capitals. Washington is fourth in the Metropolitan and currently holds onto the second Wild Card in the Eastern Conference. That would potentially set up a first round matchup with the Rangers in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The average price of the regular season game is $460.34 with a get-in price of $158.
Rangers playoff tickets have not yet been released, but there are some available on the secondary market. The prices for the first two guaranteed home games are right in line with the average for the regular season game against Washington. Home games 1 and 2 have a combined average price of $496.21.
