Judas Priest Announce 2014 Tour Dates In Support In Redeemer Of Souls
In support of their newest studio effort “Redeemer Of Souls”, 80’s metal monsters Judas Priest have announced a full US tour beginning in October. It will be the band’s first US tour since 2011. Glam metal parody band Steel Panther will be joining Priest on all dates.
The string begins in the central northeast with dates in Rochester, Indiana, and Kentucky before visiting the Barclay’s Center for the first time on October 9th. The trip east continues through New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut before another midwest swing eventually delving into Georgia and Florida. The tour then kicks to 5 city Texas tango before concluding on the west coast with dates including the Nokia Theatre and a November 22nd finale at the Tacoma Dome.
Thus far, Judas Priest tickets average $165.31 on the re-sale market. Harrah’s Atlantic City is currently the most expensive date on board, at an average asking price of $250. The Laredo Energy Arena in Texas is the cheapest show, at an average price of $70.14. Tickets for all dates can be found below:
Rob Halford Announces New Judas Priest Album
While receiving the “Man on the Silver Mountain” award for his work with the late Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up and Shout” Cancer Fund, Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford spoke with Loudwire about his work on both a Dio tribute album and a new Judas Priest album.
Halford lit up when asked about the Priest album, and gave a firm answer that “it’s done”. With just the mastering session yet to be completed in England, the band expects to drop a release date and album title in the coming weeks. Halford went on to explain “It’s f—king heavy.”
With a new album on the way (their first since 2008’s “Nostradmus”), many are anticipating a US tour to follow. Priest last toured the states in fall 2011, and the majority of Judas Priest tickets on the secondary market we’re listed within a pair percentage of face price.
Priest aren’t the only rock icons ones to tease a new album, Metallica debuted a new song entitled “Lords Of Summer” during their South American tour and released a demo version of it for the masses earlier this week. Classic rock powerhouse, AC/DC have also been rumored to set out on a 40th anniversary trek in addition to new studio material. Guns ‘N Roses will be partaking in a Las Vegas residency this May, and Motley Crue tickets for their “Final Tour” with Alice Cooper are currently averaging $205 on the secondary market. Queen will also be taking former American Idol finalist Adam Lambert on their US tour later this year.
