After a Season in Flux, Big Ten Championship Game Tickets Come Cheap
The Big Ten is a conference in transition.
Over the past two years the conference has added a new team in Nebraska and weathered two scandals at Ohio State and Penn State. Next season, the conference will expand to 14 teams with the additions of Rutgers and Maryland.
This season, with six teams—half the conference—finishing the regular season at .500 or below, to say that the Big Ten experienced a down year in conference-wide performance would be an understatement.
Moreover, as a direct result of the aforementioned scandals, post-season bans for undefeated Ohio State and 8-4 Penn State leave 7-5 Wisconsin as de facto Leaders Division winners. With that, the Badgers have a date at Lucas Oil this Saturday with Nebraska to decide the Big Ten Championship.
