Ticket Prices Surprisingly Cheap For World Series Rematch In The Bronx
For the first time since last November, the Yankees and Phillies will square off in a World Series rematch at Yankee Stadium. Here’s are the pitching matchups:
- Game 1: CC Sabathia vs. Roy Hallday
- Game 2: A.J. Burnett vs. Jamie Moyer
- Game 3: Andy Pettitte vs. Kyle Kendrick
On top of three pretty good matchups, highlighted by the CC-Halladay opener, the weather reports should be beautiful, and these are two of the most popular teams in baseball. Last year, this was one of the most sought after and expensive series of the season for the Yankees, but this year things are a very different:

With tickets to the Subway Series later this weekend in the Bronx selling for an average of $170 bucks, spending $80 less to see Halladay start against CC in his first post-Jays visit to YS, could be the deal of the season.

ok people need to uensrdtand they have more money its not their fault and everyone says they buy the world series buying their players who just happen to be awesome is just like the phillies buying theirs except we have more money grow up and quit trying to make up excuses
Two years ago Joe Nathan had 47 saves. His ERA was higher than the preivous year but still pretty good at 2.10. His WHIP was an incredible .932, walks per 9 innings was 2.9 while K/9 was 11.7. These were very good numbers. He did struggle late in the season when his elbow (not rotator cuff) was likely already beginning to shred. That’s not to say he won’t have control problems this year as most pitchers coming off of Tommy John surgery do struggle in their first season back.
Having been a fan since they first moved here in 1972 (I was all of 7 years old), I still can’t believe it. I just keep execitpng them to lose. After 37 straight years of disappointment, one can certainly understand. What an incredible ride. Usually the Rangers put on their pink panties when facing the Yankees, but not this time. And they won convincingly too.- RJG
