Indians-Tigers Series is Smarter and More Relaxing than 650-Mile trip to the Beach
To get from Cleveland to the closest beach, you have to travel to approximately 650 miles to the Outer Banks, NC. A few tanks of gas, a hotel and 10 hours in the car with your kids is a hefty price to pay for a bit of sun on your back . For a cheaper, and less brain- and wallet-draining option, get your zinc oxide on and head over to the Beach Weekend series at Progressive Field on July 16th, 17th and 18th.
This year, it’s the Tigers vs. the Tribe, all three days. On Friday there will be a fireworks from the field show. On Saturday, you also get an Indians Floppy Hat. On Sunday, its a Webkinz Goldfish.
Tribe fans are taking notice, with tickets going for 22% and 41% above the season average for the series for games 1 and 2. If you’re looking for a relaxing and affordable alternative to the beach, this is a great option for the whole family. Just don’t forget to bring a book.

I didnt lose interest dnruig/after the previous lockout but I was extremely disappointed/missed basketball. They play too many games now anyway so if they can just get this over with before Jan., we’re good. The players need the games and I’d like to see more and more. I also like Michael Tillery’s NPA idea (Starting Five). It could work. I havent read these before SOB and will be reading them!
