Rays Dominate East, But Are No Match Yanks/Sox At Box Office
On the heels of the Red Sox first visit to the Bronx, the Rays series was arguably the biggest early-season test for the defending World Series Champs. However, to Yankees fans, this was just another series, as the paid below the season average to see the battle for first place, and almost half of what they paid to see the Sox.

New Yorker’s have always known how to drive a bargain, however, in this case it appears that they were more interested in a flashy label than quality baseball. On the other hand, given how the Rays handled the Yanks, maybe the smart money was paying to see a game where the Bombers had the best chance to win.

A cute post, Raggedy.I’m an Astros Fan, but it there were only two I’d be the Red Sox Fan.I really like your James Taylor post. I will come back and lstien, etc.He and I are a lot alike in time and experiences. Except I never did do drugs, I rode a motorcycle instead. [We both are shy also, at least I used to be.]We even have the same first two names, James Vernon…Oh yes, I can’t sing–maybe a big difference. In fact I have been asked to leave a church choir and not sing because I have a bad ear…Please ‘stay cool’ while you keep warm up there in the cold,

Starting pitching cant put the line up in the whole? Our setrtars, minus Kennedy, have been stellar. Wang allowed 1 run in 8 innings in Tampa. So Petitte and Wang had a few bad outings. Well duh, its going to happen eventually. they cant be all 20 game winners all year. The offense is pathetic and the re-addition of Arod is NOT going to help fix a thing.
